Texan-owned, Texas-proud, and obsessed with delivering the finest luxury transportation in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Houston.
Purple Heart Limo was founded by a decorated U.S. military veteran who served our country with honor — and came home determined to build something Texas could be proud of.
After years of military service, our founder recognized a gap in the luxury transportation market: too many companies that overpromised and underdelivered. Too many surge-priced rides, too many cancellations, and too little respect for the customer's time.
So we built Purple Heart Limo on the same values that define military service: punctuality, integrity, discipline, and mission accomplished.
Founded and operated by a U.S. military veteran. Your booking supports a Texas veteran business.
In the military, being on time means being early. Our drivers arrive before you start wondering.

For standard airport transfers and hourly bookings: no deposit required. For special events (weddings, proms, stretch limo bookings): a 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the vehicle. The remainder is charged the day before your event.

Austin, Texas — home of the best live music in America, the most creative food scene in the South, and apparently, about 47 limo companies all claiming to be the best in the city. So how do you actually tell them apart? Great question. We're going to answer it, and yes, we're fully aware of the irony of a limo company reviewing limo companies. Bear with us.
After serving hundreds of Austin clients — from UT graduation families to Dell Technologies executives — we've learned that customers care about four things above everything else: reliability, transparency in pricing, vehicle quality, and safety. Not necessarily in that order, but all four matter enormously.
Reliability means: when you say you'll be there at 6pm, you're there at 5:45pm. Not 6:07pm with a text that says "almost there." Transparency means the price you quoted on Monday is the price I pay on Saturday — not the price plus fuel surcharge plus "event premium" plus a mysterious fee that appears on the final invoice.
Purple Heart Limo difference: Texan-owned and operated, which means we treat reliability the same way the military does — being on time means being early, and your quoted price is your final price. No exceptions, no asterisks.
Here's a question most people forget to ask: do you own your vehicles, or do you broker them? Some Austin limo "companies" are really just booking platforms that subcontract to whoever is available that night. That means the shiny sedan in their website photos may have nothing to do with the vehicle that shows up at your door.
Purple Heart Limo owns and maintains every vehicle in our fleet. Our 2026 Genesis G90, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Yukon SUV, and stretch vehicles are all company-owned, professionally detailed before each ride, and stocked with amenities. What you see on our website is what shows up at your door.
Every limo company in Austin claims to offer "affordable luxury." What that usually means is: our base rate looks affordable, but wait until you see the final invoice with all the add-ons. Gratuity (20% on top). Fuel surcharge ($25). Event premium ("it's a busy weekend"). Tolls. Airport meet-and-greet fee. By the time you're done, "affordable" is a memory.
Our pricing is genuinely all-inclusive. Gratuity, tolls, fuel — it's all in the quoted rate. The price we give you on Monday is the price you pay on Saturday night. That's not a marketing promise. It's how we've operated since day one, because we believe in treating customers the way we'd want to be treated.

Austin, Texas is one of those cities where the only sin is not doing it in style. We've driven thousands of clients to every corner of this incredible city, and after all those miles, we've got opinions about where you absolutely must go — and why a limo makes every single one of these destinations better.
There's something undeniably powerful about pulling up to the Texas State Capitol in a luxury sedan. The architecture is stunning, the grounds are beautifully maintained, and — most importantly — the parking situation is a nightmare that you completely avoid when someone else is doing the driving. Arrive like a dignitary. Leave like one too.
The scenic drive around Lady Bird Lake is one of Austin's greatest pleasures — especially from the back of a luxury SUV with chilled water in hand and zero responsibility for traffic. The city skyline reflecting off the water at golden hour is genuinely one of the most beautiful things in Texas. Your Instagram will thank you.
SoCo is Austin at its most eclectic — vintage boutiques, food trucks, art galleries, and the famous "I Love You So Much" mural. Pull up in an Escalade, step out onto South Congress, and you will immediately become the most interesting person on the block. This is a scientific fact.
Austin summers are not subtle. Barton Springs Pool, fed by natural springs and maintained at a refreshing 68°F year-round, is the city's greatest gift to anyone who has ever lived through a Texas August. Arrive cool (because you were in a climate-controlled vehicle). Leave cool (because of the water). Perfection.
No visit to Austin is complete without experiencing the live music on 6th Street. The city earned its "Live Music Capital of the World" title honestly — on any given Friday night there are more performances happening simultaneously than most cities see in a month. Let us drop you at the start of 6th, pick you up at the end of the night, and handle the part where nobody has to be a designated driver.

Austin is a city of contradictions: world-class food and culture, genuinely terrible traffic, a growing public transit system that's getting better, and a thriving limo industry for people who have decided traffic is someone else's problem. Let's break down every way to get around Austin — honestly, with no agenda (except the part where we mention that limos are great, which we acknowledge is our agenda).
Austin's public transit system has been improving steadily and deserves credit for it. CapMetro runs buses across the city and the MetroRail light rail line connecting downtown Austin to the northern suburbs. For daily commuters and budget-conscious visitors, CapMetro is a solid option — affordable, increasingly reliable, and constantly expanding its route network.
Uber and Lyft are convenient for everyday trips in Austin. The problem arrives during peak times — SXSW, ACL Fest, Formula 1 weekend, UT games — when surge pricing can turn a $25 ride into a $120 adventure. Rideshare is excellent for spontaneous, low-stakes transportation. For anything involving an event, a deadline, or a group, the unpredictability becomes a real problem.
For airport transfers, weddings, corporate travel, events, and any occasion where reliability and presentation matter, a professional limo service is the clear choice. Flat rates eliminate surge pricing entirely. Pre-assigned chauffeurs mean no cancellations. Flight tracking means no waiting at baggage claim alone. It's a fundamentally different — and better — transportation experience.
Purple Heart Limo serves the entire Austin metro — Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, San Marcos, Kyle, and beyond. Available 24/7. No surge pricing. (833) 740-0700

Austin doesn't have a slow season. Every month brings a new reason to celebrate, a new event to dress up for, and a new situation where showing up in a limo is the correct and obvious decision. Here's your complete guide to Austin's biggest events and exactly why each one calls for luxury transportation.
South by Southwest transforms Austin into the world's largest convergence of music, film, and tech for two weeks every March. Downtown parking becomes a memory. Rideshare surge pricing becomes a horror story. A pre-booked limo becomes the smartest decision you made all year. If you're attending SXSW for business — client meetings, showcases, brand events — a chauffeured vehicle is a non-negotiable professional tool.
F1 weekend at COTA is the single most chaotic traffic event Austin experiences all year. Tens of thousands of international fans, limited parking, maximum rideshare surge. A group limo transfer from your hotel to COTA and back is not a luxury — it's a survival strategy. Our Sprinter Party Bus holds 14 people, making the math very favorable when you split the cost among your group.
Austin City Limits Music Festival brings 450,000+ music fans to Zilker Park over two weekends every October. Drop-off and pickup at designated areas are far superior to any parking option. We'll have you at the gates before the opening act and picked up after the headliner — no Uber wait, no surge pricing, no standing in a rideshare queue with 10,000 other exhausted music fans.
Austin and the Hill Country host thousands of weddings each year across two peak seasons. Whether you're the couple, the wedding party, or the family flying in from out of town, coordinated luxury transportation turns the logistics of a wedding day from stressful to seamless. We've served 500+ Texas weddings and counting.

We answer a lot of questions. Every day. The same questions, from wonderful people who just want to make sure they're making the right decision before they book. So in the spirit of efficiency — and because our phones need a break — here are the most frequently asked questions about hiring a limo service in Austin, answered honestly and without corporate speak.
For airport transfers: 24-48 hours is generally fine. For weddings and proms: 4-8 weeks minimum, and honestly sooner is always better because specific vehicles book up. For SXSW, F1, ACL, and other major Austin events: book the moment you have your tickets. We are not joking about this. Those dates fill up months in advance.
For airport transfers and point-to-point trips: no minimum — you pay for the ride. For hourly as-directed service: 2-hour minimum. For special events with stretch limos and party buses: typically a 3-4 hour minimum depending on the vehicle and date.
Everything. Gratuity, tolls, fuel, all standard fees — included. The number we quote you on the phone or online is the number you pay. We have never once presented a client with a surprise fee on checkout, and we never will. It's a point of honor for a Texan-owned company.
Adults can absolutely enjoy beverages in the vehicle — bring your own or ask us to arrange ahead of time. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for underage drinking. Our chauffeurs are trained to enforce this without exception, which is why parents trust us with their prom and graduation groups.
Yes — we serve the entire Austin metro (Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, San Marcos, Kyle, Pflugerville, Leander, Lakeway), and we provide city-to-city transfers to Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. We also serve Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston metro areas directly.

Prom is not the time to wing it on transportation. We say this with love, experience, and the memory of approximately 47 panicked parent phone calls from people who waited too long to book and found out every limo in Austin was already reserved. This is your guide to not being one of those parents.
Austin-area high school proms are concentrated in April and May, and the best vehicles — especially Escalade Stretches and full party buses — book 6-8 weeks in advance. Once your student knows their prom date, that's when to call. Not two weeks before. Not one week before. Definitely not three days before.
Every Purple Heart Limo chauffeur is background-checked, drug-tested, and trained to enforce our zero-tolerance underage drinking policy. This is non-negotiable and applies to every ride, every time. Our chauffeurs will not look the other way, and they have full authority to end a ride if the policy is violated. Parents sleep soundly when their kids ride with us. That's intentional.
For groups of 6-10: the Chrysler 300 Stretch Limo is the classic choice and always impresses. For 10-14: the Escalade Stretch SUV is the current crowd favorite — it's massive, it turns heads, and arriving in an Escalade Stretch is a memory your student will talk about for years. For 14+: the Sprinter Party Bus fits the whole friend group and keeps everyone together all night.

Austin's tech and business sector has exploded over the past decade — Dell, Apple, Tesla, Oracle, Samsung, and hundreds of startups call the Austin metro home. With that corporate growth comes executive travel, client entertainment, and the ongoing question: how do you transport people professionally in a city where traffic is Austin-levels of unpredictable?
Companies with regular executive travel needs benefit enormously from a corporate account. Monthly invoicing means no per-trip expense reports. Locked-in flat rates mean the CFO always knows exactly what transportation will cost. Priority dispatch means your CEO never waits for a vehicle during Austin's brutal rush hour. A dedicated account manager means one call handles everything.
When you're bringing a client from Austin-Bergstrom to your office or to dinner in the Domain, how they get there says something about your company. A uniformed chauffeur meeting them at baggage claim with a name sign sends a message. A waiting Uber with a 4.6-star driver sends a different message. We know which one closes more deals.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) has been one of the fastest-growing airports in the United States — and its parking situation reflects that growth in the most painful way possible. Terminal Direct parking regularly fills to capacity. Remote parking means shuttle waits. And trying to get an Uber at peak landing times is a test of patience that most business travelers have failed at least once.
When we say flat-rate, we mean: you get a quote, that quote is final, and nothing changes it — not traffic, not your flight being delayed, not peak hours, not rain. The rate you get on Monday morning is the rate you pay on Friday evening rush hour. This is mathematically different from rideshare pricing, where the same trip can cost radically different amounts depending on when you book it.
We track your flight automatically. If it lands early, your driver adjusts. If it's delayed, they wait — up to 60 minutes at absolutely no charge. This covers essentially every standard delay scenario and means you walk out of baggage claim at AUS, see someone holding a sign with your name on it, and feel immediately cared for after whatever the airline put you through.

Your wedding day is the most photographed, most watched, most discussed day of your life. Every detail has been obsessed over — the venue, the flowers, the cake, the dress. And then there's the transportation, which too many couples treat as an afterthought until about two months before the wedding when they realize the vehicles they want are already booked.
A classic stretch limo says timeless elegance. A black Escalade SUV says modern sophistication. A white Chrysler 300 Stretch says "I want everyone at the venue to look when we pull up" — which is a completely valid choice. Think about the overall aesthetic of your wedding and choose a vehicle that complements rather than competes with it.
Do you own this vehicle? (Yes — we own every vehicle in our fleet.) Will you coordinate with our wedding planner? (Yes — we work directly with planners.) What is your backup plan if a vehicle has a mechanical issue? (We have contingency vehicles on standby.) Is gratuity included? (Yes — always all-inclusive.) How early does the driver arrive? (15 minutes minimum, guaranteed.)

Austin's nightlife is genuinely world-class. 6th Street, Rainey Street, East 6th, South Congress, the Domain — every neighborhood has its own personality and its own incredible bar and restaurant scene. Planning a perfect Austin night out is mostly about not letting the logistics ruin the fun. Which is where we come in.
The best thing about booking a limo for your night out is that everyone in your group gets to fully participate in the evening. No one is stuck with the designated driver role. No one is watching their drinks because they know they're driving home. Everyone is present, relaxed, and having the night they planned to have.
Start at Rainey Street for dinner and drinks at one of the converted bungalow bars. Move to East 6th for the craft cocktail scene. Finish on 6th Street for live music until whenever you feel like calling it. We'll pick you up at the start, move you between neighborhoods if you want, and get everyone home safely at the end. You plan the fun. We handle the driving.

After years of operating in Austin's luxury transportation market, we've developed a deep appreciation for clients who come to us prepared. And an equally deep appreciation for the comedy of clients who call us three days before prom expecting a Hummer Stretch to be available. Here are five tips that will make your booking experience better for everyone involved.
This is tip number one because it solves approximately 80% of all limo booking problems. Stretch limos and party buses for Saturday evenings in April and May (prom season) are gone 6-8 weeks out. Wedding vehicles during peak season (April-June, September-November) book 2-3 months ahead. Airport sedans are more flexible but still benefit from 24-48 hours minimum.
A legitimate limo company sends written confirmation with the vehicle type, pickup time, total price, driver contact info, and cancellation policy. If a company is vague about putting things in writing, that's a red flag. We send confirmation for every booking within 5 minutes.
Ask explicitly: is gratuity included? Are tolls included? Are there any fuel surcharges? Any event premium fees? A truly all-inclusive rate covers all of these. Our rates always do. Not every company's do.
The vehicle matters. The driver matters more. Ask about background checks, drug testing, training, and whether the company employs its drivers or uses contractors. At Purple Heart Limo, every chauffeur is a vetted, trained professional who reflects our Texan-owned standards.
On your event day, make sure you have the driver's direct cell number, the company's 24/7 line, and a clear pickup location confirmed in advance. We send all driver details automatically before every ride — but it never hurts to have them saved in your phone the night before.

We could fill this entire post with stats about our fleet, testimonials about our service, and bullet points about our features. But honestly, the real reason Purple Heart Limo has become a premier choice in Austin comes down to something simpler: we were founded by a veteran who believes that if you're going to do something, you do it right — every time, for every customer, with no exceptions.
Military service teaches you that there are no acceptable shortcuts. You either meet the standard or you don't — and if you don't, people notice. We've applied that philosophy to every aspect of Purple Heart Limo: vehicle maintenance, driver training, pricing transparency, customer communication, and punctuality. Our drivers don't aim to arrive on time. They aim to arrive early.
We're proud of our rating — not because it's a marketing number, but because it represents 214+ individual people who had a good experience and cared enough to say so publicly. The reviews talk about punctuality, vehicle quality, driver professionalism, pricing transparency, and the feeling of being genuinely cared for. Those are the things we work on every day.

You've booked the limo. Smart choice. Now here's how to get the absolute most out of the experience — from the moment you confirm your reservation to the moment you step out at your destination looking like a person who absolutely has their life together.
Tell us things. Preferred temperature, music genre, whether you want to chat or prefer a quiet ride, any accessibility needs, special occasion details. The more we know, the more personalized and enjoyable your experience will be. We're not mind readers — but we are excellent at executing once we know what you want.
For hourly bookings with multiple stops, having a rough itinerary helps us make sure you get everything done within your booked time. For weddings, we coordinate with your planner — but any timeline information you can share helps us prepare for the specific flow of your day.
We send driver information automatically before every ride. Save it. This is particularly important for airport arrivals — if you come out of a different exit or your luggage takes longer than expected, a quick text to your driver is infinitely more effective than searching for an anonymous vehicle in a sea of cars outside arrivals.

The limo industry has an image problem. Thanks to decades of movies, TV shows, and general cultural assumptions, most people have a mental picture of who uses limos and why — and that picture is usually wrong. Let's fix that.
Reality: A luxury sedan airport transfer in Austin starts at $149 all-inclusive. That's competitive with — and often less than — parking your car at AUS for a week. Our clients are regular Austinites, business travelers, families heading to weddings, and people who've decided that some occasions deserve something special. Not celebrities. Normal people making smart choices.
For airport transfers: 24-48 hours is usually plenty. For standard hourly service: a week is comfortable. You only need months of lead time for high-demand dates — major Austin events, peak wedding season weekends, prom nights. For most occasions, we can accommodate reasonable notice.
At Purple Heart Limo, the price is the price. All-inclusive means all-inclusive — gratuity, tolls, fuel, everything. We're aware that some other companies don't operate this way, which is why we're explicit about it. When we say $149, we mean $149.
They are absolutely not. Vehicle quality, driver training, pricing transparency, customer service responsiveness, and safety standards vary enormously between companies. The questions in our booking guide (do you own your vehicles? are drivers background-checked? is pricing all-inclusive?) exist precisely because the answers differ significantly company to company.
A 2026 Genesis G90 with a uniformed chauffeur is not tacky. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class is not tacky. A black Escalade SUV picking up an executive from AUS is not tacky. The perception that limos are tacky comes from Hollywood tropes and outdated imagery. Modern luxury transportation is elegant, understated, and impressive.

Choosing a limo company is one of those decisions that seems simple until you start asking questions — and then you realize there's a lot of variation in the industry that isn't obvious from the outside. Here's the expert checklist that will serve you well regardless of which company you ultimately choose (including us, though we obviously hope it's us).
Licensed and insured: Any legitimate transportation company in Texas carries commercial liability insurance. Ask for proof. If they hesitate, move on. Background-checked drivers: Your safety and the safety of your group depends on who is behind the wheel. Background checks and drug testing are minimum standards. Company-owned vehicles: Companies that own their fleet have full control over vehicle quality and maintenance. Brokers who subcontract do not.
Get a quote. Then ask: "Is that all-inclusive including gratuity, tolls, and all fees?" A company with truly all-inclusive pricing will say yes immediately and confidently. A company with hidden fees will start listing exceptions. That conversation tells you everything you need to know.
Read the negative reviews first. Not because companies should be judged by their worst days, but because how a company responds to criticism reveals its character. A company that responds professionally, acknowledges the issue, and explains what was done to fix it is a company that takes quality seriously. A company that argues with reviewers online is telling you something important.

Austin has no slow season. Every month of the year has events, occasions, and reasons why a limo is the right call. But each season has its own booking dynamics — and understanding them is the difference between getting exactly what you want and calling us two weeks before ACL to ask if we have anything available (we might, but we can't promise the vehicle you had in mind).
SXSW in March, peak wedding season beginning in April, prom season in April-May. This is our busiest stretch of the year. Book 6-8 weeks ahead for any event vehicle. Book 2-3 months ahead for wedding transportation. Airport transfers are more flexible but still benefit from advance notice.
Graduation celebrations in May-June keep us busy. Summer weddings. Airport transfers spike as travel season peaks. The heat means air-conditioned vehicle comfort is a genuine selling point — stepping out of a perfectly chilled luxury sedan in August is a pleasure that needs to be experienced.
ACL Fest, Formula 1, fall wedding season, UT football games — fall in Austin is spectacular and extraordinarily busy. If you have a fall event that requires transportation, book early. Especially for F1 weekend at COTA, which is arguably the most logistically challenging weekend of the Austin year.
Holiday parties, corporate events, New Year's Eve (book NYE transportation by early December — it goes fast), and winter weddings. January and February are actually among our most consistent months for airport transfers as business travel resumes after the holidays.

After thousands of rides across Austin, Dallas, and Houston, we've accumulated a collection of stories that range from heartwarming to hilarious to genuinely moving. Here are some of our favorites — told with permission and, in a few cases, with the names changed because the people involved are now embarrassed about the 2am hot dog stand detour.
A client booked our most elegant stretch limo for what he described as "a special dinner." He'd arranged for roses, champagne, and a custom playlist. What he forgot to arrange was the ring, which was sitting on his kitchen counter when he called us in a panic 45 minutes before pickup. Our driver made an unscheduled stop at his apartment, retrieved the ring, and they arrived at the restaurant only 12 minutes late. She said yes. The driver got an exceptional tip. Justice was served.
A tech executive flying into Austin-Bergstrom every two weeks for a year. Same driver, same vehicle, same morning playlist. What started as a business arrangement became something more genuine — the driver knew his coffee order, his kids' names, and that he needed 20 minutes of silence after a red-eye before he was ready to talk. He renewed his corporate account for a third year and sent a handwritten note to our team at Christmas.
Fourteen students in an Escalade Stretch, all dressed up for prom, absolutely vibrating with excitement. At the end of the night, every student — every single one — said thank you to the driver by name before getting out of the vehicle. Their parents had raised them right. And yes, we teared up a little. We're veterans, not robots.

This is the guide we wish existed when people first started asking us how to book a limo. It covers everything from the first Google search to the moment your ride arrives — including the questions nobody thinks to ask until something goes wrong, and the red flags that tell you to keep looking.
Before you call anyone, get clear on: how many people, what date and time, where you're going (or whether it's hourly), what vehicle type fits your group and occasion, and your budget. Having these answers ready makes every conversation faster and the quote you receive more accurate.
Get quotes from at least 2-3 companies. When comparing, make sure you're comparing the same thing — a $99 rate that doesn't include gratuity is more expensive than a $149 all-inclusive rate once you do the math. Ask every company: Is this all-inclusive? Do you own this vehicle? Are drivers background-checked?
Any legitimate limo company will send written confirmation with: vehicle type and description, pickup time and location, total price (and confirmation that it's all-inclusive), cancellation policy, and driver contact information. If you don't receive this, ask for it explicitly. If they won't provide it, book elsewhere.
Save the driver's contact information in your phone. Confirm the pickup address is correct and accessible. For airport arrivals, add your flight number to the booking if you haven't already so the driver can track your landing. Have the company's 24/7 number as a backup. Be ready slightly before your pickup time — good drivers arrive early, and it's a small courtesy to be ready for them.
Ready to book? Purple Heart Limo serves Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Houston. Call (833) 740-0700 or book online — confirmation in 5 minutes.
